Amy C Parker is a mental health advocate, living a journey through personal recovery for Borderline Personality Disorder.
Born in Caerphilly, South Wales, Amy immigrated to Australia in 2010 and is a creative parent of two young children. In art, Amy explores a broad spectrum of different mediums, inspired by the works and concepts of Bristol graffiti artist, Banksy. However, Amy also draws upon a variety of styles from different artists across different eras.
"Having always known that there's something inside that nobody around me could quite understand, I wanted to capture and frame a visual representation of some of the struggles within.
Being borderline is a painful life experience that's also quite beautiful. Amongst the emptiness and pieces missing there is so much in that 'negative space'."
