Once considered obsolete, vinyl records have returned to contemporary culture, carrying with them the marks of time, memory and use. Their resurgence is a reminder that something can be worn, damaged or left behind and still find its way back.

Music can be an emotional anchor. A particular song can hold a person, a place or a moment, bringing comfort when words are not enough and helping us move through difficult experiences.

In Cracked but Playing, the fractured record becomes a metaphor for human resilience. Inspired by the philosophy of kintsugi, the cracks are not hidden but transformed into part of the work's story. The record is damaged, but it is still capable of carrying music.

The work reflects on memory, healing and the human capacity to continue, even when we carry visible traces of what we have been through.
