'Wild Ochre' emerged through a playful exploration of warm earth pigments, layered marks, and deep tonal contrasts. Drawn to the mood created by rich ochres against darker passages of colour, I allowed the painting to unfold intuitively, with botanical forms gradually revealing themselves from within the surface. Moments of blue punctuate the earthy palette, bringing light and movement to the composition. The result is a celebration of Australia's native flora; wild and resilient.
