Whispering Meercats

Kerry’s artistic practice began while encouraging her young son to pursue his artistic talents. She was surprised to discover the healing power of art in her own life, as painting transports her to another world. Anxiety still exists but now there is something more powerful that can override it. Kerry's favourite medium is oil paint, with its smooth, buttery consistency allowing for many techniques. Her work reflects the emotional connection she feels to her subjects.

Their alert expressions echo the hyper-vigilance that comes with anxiety, yet their closeness reminds us that we don’t have to watch the horizon alone. 

There's a smile there, a shared that moment gives him strength; a quiet reminder that even in a guarded state, connection can steady us.
