Jude Scott is a Brisbane-based artist who works with acrylics and textured mediums to create coastal-inspired abstracts on canvas. Jude discovered art early in life as a sanctuary; a place to retreat and find calm during moments of overwhelm. In recent years, learning more about her neurodiversity and exploring supportive strategies has brought her greater understanding and balance. Jude's art practice remains a deeply healing experience; a source of comfort, optimism and connection that continues to support her wellbeing.

Our beautiful coastal waters along the East Coast of Australia greatly inspire my paintings. The calming colours of turquoise, blues, and aquas is an inducement to recreate on my canvases. This abstract piece reflects my love of these colours, with texture added for interest. I also enjoy the reflective qualities of water and find shimmering gold paint beautifully mimics my interpretation of this natural scene.
