Tondo: Air Waves
Judith’s weaving practice grew over the years she spent caring for family members with mental health challenges. Working with her hands gave her strength, and over time it became something they could share. Judith encouraged her family to join her in growing, nurturing, gathering, and preparing plant fibres. It offered a way to be together, to slow down, to love, and to care side by side.
Judith's works hold those moments. They speak of patience, connection, and the gentle strength that comes from sharing with one another. They carry a sense of where they’ve been, and the contentment they have now found. When Judith looks back, what stays with her most is the love that held them together.

This circular weave (Tondo) is from my garden to my hands. I grow, gather, and prepare these fibres before gently weaving them around a discarded fan guard. This echoes the quiet movement of air, flowing inward and outward. It holds a sense of breath; a moment of stillness within motion, reflecting the unseen presence that surrounds and sustains us.
