Tippy Tappy Toes

Amy is an artist based in the mountains of the Sunshine Coast. She embraces many art mediums including watercolour, gouache, pen, and ink. Amy has also spent time over the last four years learning the art of lapidary, taxidermy, and entomology. 

After breaking free from a long DV relationship, Amy is still finding her feet and discovering who she is and what she loves. She fills her days living in the mountains with art, poetry, music, books, and riding her Harley - all of which help her work through C-PTSD and mental health challenges. 

Amy loves joining others in her community for life drawing sessions, or just sitting in the park with a friend, drinking coffee, and drawing whatever brings her inspiration.

After immersing myself in entomology (the study of insects), I discovered a whole new appreciation for bugs, butterflies, and beetles. I'm continually amazed by their shapes, size, and incredible colours. I love the way metallic watercolour paint moves, shimmers, and shifts just like these amazing little creatures do. I'm so aware of them living in and around my home now, and make sure to be gentle when relocating them if necessary. I think it shows your inner soul when you display kindness to a bug.
