This is Fine

Kitt Spartalis has been a practicing artist for the past 13 years in the Ipswich/Brisbane region. They have dealt with a lifetime of ongoing mental health issues, all of which have shaped and paved the road towards their future. After ten years of working on themselves, hundreds of different medications, and therapeutic approaches, Kitt realised that complex trauma was hiding the reality of an AuDHD (autism and ADHD) diagnosis. Kitt's artwork regularly reflects their inner workings and experiences of day to day life as an AuDHD individual. Their use of multiple mediums and textures attempts to drag viewers into experiencing reality through their eyes.

This piece is about the experience of the neurodivergent in modern times; particularly in regards to social and political events that dictate and mold the world we are allowed to live in. It shows the visceral, skin-melting experience of feeling born in the wrong place, wrong time, wrong body, and wrong mind, while the world continues to push, pull, and prod us in every direction, informing us 'we are fine, it's fine', regardless of how we truly feel.
