There Are Eyes Always Watching
Zali is a multidisciplinary artist based in Queensland whose work spans digital art, ceramics, oil painting, and more. Her practice is shaped by her experiences as a neurodivergent person, exploring themes of identity, mental health, and the fantasy worlds we create to survive. Drawing inspiration from magical creatures, soft surrealism, and her own inner world, Zali creates gentle, dreamlike pieces that blend emotion and storytelling. She hopes her art offers comfort, connection, and a reminder of the strength found in softness.

This vase is a reflection of my experience with social anxiety - that constant, unsettling feeling of being watched. The overwhelming number of eyes surrounding the jug, paired with the small, carved text, captures a deep sense of unease - mirroring the anxiety I often feel when navigating social situations.
