‘The Games We Play’ showcases the push-and-pull of competing forces in our lives, as seen through the dice and fallen King. The King has the most pivotal role in chess - commander, strategist, protector. If the King falls, the game ends. The fallen King illustrates the weight we put on ourselves; constantly thinking five moves ahead, taking risks, doing what needs to be done - only to be defeated. Beside him stands the dice - completely reliant on chance. These two opposing elements remind us that despite the challenges we face, we remain in the game. We pick ourselves up and begin again.
