Sue’s primary practice is acrylic and mixed media paintings, but she also enjoys watercolour painting, charcoal drawings and oil and soft pastel drawings. Her other interests lie in mixed media sculptures, wood being the primary medium with the addition of found objects - her small contribution to reducing landfill.
As a self-taught artist who sees drawings and paintings in everything she looks at, Sue dreams about art becoming her full-time career. This has become an even more important goal for Sue, having had to face her own mortality while hospitalised in 2020 due to a life-threatening medical incident. This resulted in her withdrawing from her Masters Visual Arts at Griffith University due to the lengthy recovery she was faced with.
