Shearers Light
An author, poet, and photographer, Joanna May Wharton embraces her gift of wonder and enveloping grace to find the golden threads which transform hardship and suffering into the power of deep joy.
Having long struggled to fit into mainstream expectations and navigate the tenuous path of PTSD, Joanna has found stability in post-traumatic growth. Joanna is embracing the opportunity to slow down and sink into country life. Drawing from her lived experiences of hardship and healing, Joanna works as a regional Chaplain in various schools, supporting students with complex trauma. She continues to passionately advocate for multi-disciplinary arts and compassion as conjugates of healing.
