Seagull

Rob is a film and digital photographer with lived experience of depression and anxiety. In 2011, he left his previous profession (veterinary science) and took off around Australia with his cameras. Rob has since written six books and had his photographs published in magazines including Australian Geographic.

Rob's struggles with mental health continue; he lives with post-traumatic stress disorder, mainly resulting from his previous profession. Yet, Rob feels that he is now on his authentic path as a sensitive and creative person, and that has made a great difference to his life.

I was walking along the beautiful Seven Mile Beach at Lennox Head at dawn when this seagull caught my eye. The light was amazing! I captured this image with my old film Nikon camera and grainy black and white film.
