Saturday Morning

Jack is an artist with autism who lives in Paddington with his parents and siblings. He favours watercolour, artline markers, and acrylic paint in his artworks, and is exhibiting with Recovered Futures for the fourth time this year. In addition to creating art, Jack is a film buff and hosts a YouTube channel where he talks about his favourite movies and lists his art for sale.

One Saturday morning, I drew a picture which incorporated my friend, the plants, and the fence in our courtyard at home. I used the blind contour technique, where I only looked at the subject and not down at my hand or at the paper. This was difficult and I had to concentrate very hard. I cried one tear while I drew this picture, and dripped paint onto the paper to represent rain.
