Sails Beyond Time

Sasha Infinity is a contemporary artist based in Queensland whose bold, textured works celebrate vibrancy, emotion, and inner power. Life in a household full of wonderfully neurodivergent minds - including her own - is rarely linear. Sasha's art channels this rich, layered life into colour-driven pieces that energise and uplift. Each work is a declaration: life is intense, vivid, and worthy of expression. I created 'Sails Beyond Time' using retired sailcloth from racing yachts. The material carries its own history through weathered surfaces, stitched seams, repairs, and marks left by years at sea. Part of my 'Tales of Retired Sails' series, the work explores renewal and the stories embedded in objects that have already served their original purpose. By transforming a sail into artwork, I reflect on resilience, endurance, and the possibility of new beginnings.
