Amanda received a late attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) diagnosis and as part of her journey to unmask and rediscover her true self, picked up a paint brush for the first time in 20 years.
Amanda enjoys a myriad of creative outlets from writing poetry to photography, but finds drawing and painting filters out the noise in her mind and helps process her thinking.
She enjoys working with several mediums, creating mixed media artworks, that reflect the complexities of her healing journey.
Through her artwork, Amanda hopes to demonstrate the belief that all parts of the healing journey, whether high or low, are exquisite in their own way.
I created this artwork as a visual representation of rumination.
Rumination: engaging in a repetitive negative thought process that loops continuously in the mind without end or completion.
