Born in New Zealand and now proudly calling Australia home, Chill is an artist whose work is deeply shaped by resilience, healing, and connection. As a mother, wife, and carer, she draws inspiration from the beauty found in everyday moments and the natural world. Her creative journey has been influenced by lived experience of mental health challenges, profound grief following the loss of both her brother and sister, and the lessons that come from navigating life's hardships. Art became a place of hope, reflection, and recovery, allowing Chill to transform pain into beauty. Through whimsical, nature-inspired works, Chill hopes to encourage others to pause and find comfort; to remember that even after darkness, the most fragile hearts can bloom again.

'Presence' was created in loving memory of my sister, whose favourite flower was the sunflower. This piece reflects love, loss, and healing. The intricate patterns represent my own creative journey, while the bees surrounding wildflowers symbolise hope and resilience. The quiet presence of those we love can continue to influence us long after they are gone.
