Sarah, a versatile artist raised in Cornwall, United Kingdom and now calls Brisbane/Meanjin home. She explores various impressionistic styles across different media and as an illustrator, Sarah worked in London as a freelance artist. Despite facing mental health challenges, her art serves as an outlet for expressing complex emotions beyond words.
Sarah has attended the Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) program at Royal Brisbane Womens Hospital to support her mental health condition - complex post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). This proved a difficult journey when Sarah was often too ill to read the words. She designed Mindfully Awesum Art - creating a range of cards to support DBT skills.
Immersed in her environment, Sarah's sketches capture the essence of scenes, engaging all senses to create authentic experiences. Hidden messages within her art add depth to her storytelling.
