Kath McCann is a Brisbane/Meanjin mixed-media artist who uses the language of landscape to reveal and express internal worlds and emotional geography. Drawing inspiration from the rhythms and structures found in nature - strata, waterways, and aerial perspectives - Kath creates richly layered compositions using acrylic, inks, and collage. 

Through processes of layering, obscuring, and revealing, Kath's work reflects the complexity, depth, and interconnectedness of both the natural world and human experience.

Creating under the name 'KathArtique' - a reference to the cathartic nature of her practice - she approaches artmaking as a transformative sanctuary for stillness and healing. Grounded in the belief that art can be both reflective and restorative, her work invites pause - a moment to breathe and reconnect within.
