Lost in thought

Loni is a visual artist and registered nurse, in that order. She has been making art since the first grade and has been an operating theatre sister since 1990. She completed a Fine Arts degree at Queensland College of Art in 1997.

Primarily a figurative artist with extensive life drawing experience, Loni now mainly paints in oil. Painting nourishes Loni's soul and acts as a panacea against some of the harsh realities witnessed in her day job. While art-making allows her to work through complex feelings, other days it's just about making something beautiful, funny, or occasionally challenging.
