Larger Than Life

Russell Solomon is a South East Queensland artist who works with wire and reclaimed materials. His work is deeply concerned with the natural world, including humans and our impact upon it. He identifies as living with an invisible disability and aims to represent this through his work.

When I was experiencing a rough time, a friend took me out to see the whales in my backyard, Moreton Bay. They were so beautiful, gracefully and playfully frolicking in the water. I forgot my troubles for a while and felt connected with something much larger than myself.
