Kindness

Fiona Thorning is a realism painter who trained at Queensland College of Art.  She worked as an art educator for many years. She started painting full-time in 2022. Having exhibited in many galleries across Brisbane and Melbourne, Fiona has received accolades including Finalist and Highly Commended achievements for her work. Working in oils and acrylics, she paints portraits, landscapes, and still-life pieces in her Redcliffe studio.

I wanted to create a pretty image which sparks joy. The message of kindness held by the little bird reminds us to be kind to ourselves and others. You never know what difficulties a person may be experiencing under the surface.
