Hope

Fiona Thorning is a realism painter who trained at Queensland College of Art.  She worked as an art educator for many years, and started painting full-time in 2022. Having exhibited in many galleries across Brisbane and Melbourne, Fiona has received accolades including Finalist and Highly Commended achievements for her work. Working in oils and acrylics, she paints portraits, landscapes, and still-life pieces in her Redcliffe studio.

I wanted to create a pretty image which sparks joy. The message of hope held by the little bird reminds us that happiness and fulfilment are achieved through nurturing hope and always continuing to dream.
