Forest Edge

A prolific artist who enjoys painting in oils,acrylic, and pastels, Bob showed artistic talent from a young age. He graduated from the Queensland College Of Art in 1986 with a certificate of Applied Art with Honours in drawing, painting, and illustration. He paints from life and photographs, exhibiting on the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane. 

Bob paintings are held in the private collections of locals and international visitors alike. In 2015, Bob was chosen as supporting artist of the year for MIFQ. He finds his art builds up his self-esteem, improves his mental health, and creates opportunities for involvement in the community.

I was inspired to create this piece after walking down a path towards the edge of the rainforest, at Mary Cairncross Park near the beautiful Glass House Mountains. I believe it captures the essence, beauty, and magic of afternoon light; making me feel like I am walking out of the darkness and into the light!
