Find Me Where Flowers Bloom

Deborah accepted her first commissioned painting a number of years ago, and quickly realised this is what brings her joy in life. From colour, Deborah takes her deepest breath. Painting is a safe space where she can be herself; a constant passenger in her life, wherever the journey takes her. Carrying the invisible hinderances of anxiety and panic attacks, Deborah feels all of that melt away when she paints. 

Deborah's body of creative work depicts a playful inner landscape, as well as a deeper look into the lesser-known stories of her more figurative work. While there is a clear softness to her work, a multitude of layers float to the surface upon closer inspection. Deborah's inspiration comes from everywhere - colour, tone, and shapes she has collected in her mind's eye from daily life and travels. She feels mixed media greatly complements her natural artistic style.

Without hesitation, I can truly say my love of flowers transcends all. Flowers for me are a natural wonder; each group unique from another. To quote Lady Bird Johnson, "where flowers bloom, so does hope".
