Marnie Collie is a self-taught emerging artist living in the Redlands Shire. Marnie has been creative in one way or another from a very young age, and over the past few years she has explored her passion for painting, now dedicating her time to this art practice.
Marnie’s paintings are influenced by collections of colours and the challenge of capturing emotion through the vibrancy and delicacy of subjects and the natural world. Her experiences can also influence the direction of her work, and her choice to be versatile with her style.
Marnie has suffered from anxiety disorder for most of her adult life. Her arts practice has, and continues to be her greatest form of healing, meditation and emotional outlet.

In this painting I wanted to explore the soothing depths of blues and purples. Using organic shapes and drawing inspiration from the harmony found in the natural world, this piece looks to evoke a sense of tranquility and wonder.
