After the 2015 and 2023 Royal Commission (of which I was a witness in 2015) and my personal experiences of abuse, assault and the consequential physical recovery process, I painted this over four months.
It speaks of my deep distrust of the Queensland Police Force due to personal experiences. The checkerboard dragon represents how hard it is to approach and communicate with police when you have a mental health issue. The leafy lizard dragon represents how quickly they can sneak up behind you or even just shoot you dead if you are unwell.
