Certainty

Danielle B Latta's (Running Duck Studio) life experiences have influenced her artistic expression, while her skill and style has been shaped by drawing for Walt Disney.

In 2012, Danielle's partner was involved in a motorbike accident, causing neck, spine and brain damage. Being an integral part of their ongoing support and recovery, she has seen both sides of the hidden struggle and pain; a lack of visible injuries often causing unsympathetic reactions. 

Danielle's journey is shown throughout drawings, subconsciously expressing her own struggles. Her artwork has become more lighthearted and uplifting over time, illustrating the small but special moments that can be found in everybody's lives. This was an almost involuntary decision to bring balance once again to life.

A constant oscillation between opposites.
This is the state of living beside someone who is suffering.
It demands the strength of a stallion,
yet even on the strongest days,
the line wavers - fragile, searching, unresolved.
