During a mental health crisis in 2019, Vicki picked up a brush and began to paint the complex emotions she was experiencing. When the pressure of life's expectations felt too demanding, she found peace in the flow of creating and painting became meditation.
As Vicki continued her nursing and studying her masters, she began to question if her gift to the world could be through art instead and in 2023, she began studying Visual Art part time at TAFE and exhibiting in Brisbane/Meanjin.
Whilst she still gives to the community through nursing, the role she finds the most fulfilling is connecting to others through her art. Every piece holds a story that speaks to the soul of its true owner.

I often find myself mesmerised by the way water flows at the beach or in a stream. This piece speaks from a joyous place where that peaceful feeling of being in nature beside the water collides with energetic colour.
I allow myself to be washed away by the colours as they twist and move against each other, finding details and shapes as my eyes wander, finding my blissful place.
