'Amaranthine' takes its title from latin, meaning 'unfading beauty' - a reflection on the enduring nature of the human spirit. Rendered in charcoal with hints of pastel, this work balances strength and vulnerability through expressive marks and soft layers of light. The upward gaze suggests reflection, hope, and transcendence, while the abstracted background allows emotion to emerge beyond portraiture. Fleeting yet eternal, the figure becomes a meditation on inner endurance and beauty that persists through life-shifting seasons.
