Clare has been exhibiting her artwork for the past 30 years.
Specialising in portraits and figurative work, her art delves into the highs and lows of human emotion. Deeply inspired by the Art Nouveau movement, Clare enjoys combining the female form with decorative patterns, in celebration of the divine feminine.
Clare has managed and facilitated many community art classes and mural projects across Brisbane/Meanjin.
Clare continues to work as an arts facilitator, supporting people with disabilities and mental health conditions through art-based programs. She also has lived experience of anxiety and supports several people in her personal life with a range of mental health conditions. Her aim is to enrich the local community by supporting others through creative projects.

Vulnerability can be one of the most uncomfortable feelings that we can experience, so it’s no wonder that we fear it to such a degree.
If we can learn to see it in a different light, then it becomes the most authentic way to connect with another, to let ourselves be truly seen.
When we can learn to lean into our vulnerability, we realise that it isn’t our greatest weakness, but instead a measure of our courage and strength.
