Jacob Sarra is a proud Goreng Goreng artist, born and raised in Ipswich.
His love for art all started with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. As a young kid, Jacob watched the show religiously and it left him wanting to know who these turtles were named after. That lead him through a journey with Renaissance artists and he's been captivated by art ever since.
Jacob's contemporary Indigenous artworks explore life's journey, family, diverse pathways, and connections with the land and sky.

'Zero Degrees' captures the stark beauty of a winter's morning as the first rays of the sun pierce the icy dawn. The artwork evokes the biting chill of the air, the crisp crunch of frost underfoot, and the serene silence that blankets the landscape. A masterful blend of light and shadow brings to life the subtle warmth of the sun's glow, heralding the promise of a new day amidst the freezing temperatures.
