Yes Dear, Yes Dear

Damien was living the dancer's dream in New York City - competing, teaching and lecturing dance - when a broken neck and back drew his career to a sudden close at age 40. Damien has since moved back to Australia and is living with family. He is still working through the enormity of his loss and consequent life shifts. 
 
Art became a part of Damien's life when he began weekly art classes. He finds art to be effective in passing the time and distracting him from challenges, while allowing him to be creative in a new and different way. 

On a good day, when I get out for a walk with my dog, I often see galahs. They are always in couples, and it reminds me of better times.
