TAFE QLD Classrooms (Southbank)
Zes Yof is a multidisciplinary artist and musician, born in Naarm and now based in Meanjin after years of travelling the globe. Her work carries a triumphant appreciation for the bittersweet nature of human experience, often drawing inspiration from the Japanese art of Kintsugi - the practice of repairing broken ceramics with gold or silver. Rather than hiding flaws, Kintsugi celebrates them, transforming fractures into the most beautiful part of the vessel.
Identifying as gender fluid (with any pronouns welcomed), Zes lives with anxiety, depression, complex PTSD, and neurodivergence. Through her art and music, she embodies a message of compassion and loving-kindness, offering connection and hope to all who cross her path.

‘TAFE QLD Classrooms (Southbank)’ explores the geometric rhythm of institutional architecture through a playful use of charcoal, ink, and watercolour. The familiar yet abstracted forms reflect the layered experiences of learning environments - places of growth, pressure, and transformation. Bold colours and fragmented lines speak to both structure and vulnerability, capturing the energy that lives within shared spaces.
