"I started this painting while isolating with COVID and found a hole in my last blank canvas. I decided to cover it up by gluing my RAT test to it and then found another hole in the canvas so I put the project off for a while. I found a polaroid of me from a bad angle and decided to use that for the second hole. It reminds me that even bad times can still be fun."

Jordan Lambi is an emerging artist based in Meanjin/Brisbane. Raised by an established visual artist, art was a large part of his childhood, however it was largely forgotten due to other passions being pursued until 2020. Since then, there has been a deep dive into artistic expression.

Working with oils, Jordan has explored varying forms of abstract art. His work is defined by the use of bold colours and liquid forms and shapes in an expressionist form. Always striving to create an emotion in the work, the specifics of this are typically determined as the painting emerges.
