Heidi first fell in love with Australia‘s laid back way of life and its incredible natural landscapes in 1988, after migrating from Zürich, Switzerland and being drawn to the vast openness and distance of the country.
She melds landscapes with her experiences from various countries and cultures and this brings joy in sometimes difficult life situations within the family. Life constantly changes and she sees and embraces these different aspects of life embedding them in her constantly evolving expressions through art.
Each painting of draws on strong emotional and sentimental values which help her become a stronger person to deal with any difficulties life throws at her.

Visiting Morocco is like stepping back in time and being part of a wonderful fairytale with happy endings. The air is filled with delicious spice scents and everywhere you look there are beautiful, happy colours. Some years ago, I was given these beautiful carafes by a dear friend and painting this wonderful piece reminds me of her every time I look at it.
