Metamorphosis
Natasha is fascinated with nature, humanity and how the two interconnect. The animal allegories in her work represent various parts of her psyche and how she perceives reality, exploring our intrinsic connection to our natural surroundings.
Since winning first place in the city-wide Art award in Florence, Italy, Natasha’s work has been included in numerous prizes and exhibitions in Australia, Italy and the USA. Her work is featured as part of the Beautiful Bizarre website and she was recently awarded second prize in The Art of Imagination prize.
Natasha’s paintings bring us to a place where realism and imagination meet, blurring the lines which often define realism. Through her work, Natasha invites the viewer into a dream-like state where intuitive meaning triumphs over physical reality.

As I child, I spent a lot of time role-playing as animals. I would go days without speaking, responding only in gestures and sounds. After years of finding this odd, I recently realised that this was more than just child’s play - I was exploring my intimate connection to the natural world and all other life. This painting is the first of an ongoing series of hybrid paintings, representing our intrinsic human connection to the natural world.
