Artworks are first available for purchase by sponsors and dignitaries before being available in person at the Exhibition in Brisbane. Unsold artworks can also be purchased online following the event.
"'Lil DINGO – Magically Frees Caged Animal' is an artwork that depicts the flying dingo freeing the animal from its cage. It is symbolic of how some people with mental illness are ostracised by the general public and society.
Now is the time for people with mental illness to feel free to grow their qualities and talents - and most importantly, to be welcomed into society with open arms."
Tanya Darl is a Queensland-based artist. She developed her passion for art at a young age and has been fortunate to be able to continue to grow this passion over the years.
Tanya's work is often based on her emotions. In the past, she has created a number of darker works but is now enjoying reworking these to show a positive light.
