Lennox Heads Reflections

Craig is a Brisbane-based artist who enjoys painting detailed scenes of  Queensland and Northern New South Wales coastlines, capturing the light, colours and shade of these unique coastal environments. He has been painting and exhibiting for close to two decades and his painting are held by numerous public and private collectors within Australia and overseas. Painting these scenes provides an opportunity for Craig to focus on the details, patterns and colours of these beautiful coastlines while revisiting and recalling memories of family beach holidays.

This scene captures a beautifully coloured sky at sunset, looking back toward the headland during a recent family holiday to Lennox Head. I wanted to convey the reflections on the sand just after the sun had set, as the light softly backlit the headland.
