Artworks are first available for purchase by sponsors and dignitaries before being available in person at the Exhibition in Brisbane. Unsold artworks can also be purchased online following the event.
"I created this artwork to depict the layers of life and messiness I have experienced since childhood. Music, flowers and nature have played a big part in my healing journey - as displayed here in my artwork. I love depth of colour in life, and this is an aspect I bring into my work. The clear glass vase is representing things being visible now."
Alana Art is an artist who works mainly with acrylics and mixed media. Her journey as an artist has grown since she was diagnosed with mental illness. After much hard work and determination, life has improved.
Having completed a Diploma in Visual Arts, Alana is now studying art therapy to assist those who have experienced mental health issues just like her.
