Justine is a British-born fine artist & photographer based in sunny Brisbane.
Her vibrant, deeply observant works celebrate borrowed moments of beauty, emotion, wonder, charm, vulnerability, connection, chaos and calm – marvels expressed and pondered through her uniquely kaleidoscopic palette.
Through her work Justine hopes to inspire renewed curiosity, conservation, care, and appreciation for the phenomenal designs surrounding us in nature, and the open-mouthed awe they can instil in the quiet, grateful observer who cares to look.
As a nurse Justine has witnessed countless mental health journeys, both personally and professionally. She loves helping others find healing through art and nature, and acknowledges the stirring power of purposeful colours, intelligent designs and intricate details in re-kindling hope from darkness and indifference.
Cold and weary, yes, a grey Irish day,
I was missing my home along the way.
Well this glossy red doorway caught my attention.
Yelling, “STOP!” – so I did – without an objection.
I gazed at blooms, all chilli and fiery,
Winding vines, all pattered and wiry
The gate standing open, self-consciously beckoning,
The quaint little path, all cobbled and welcoming
And I tell, (though ‘twas not my own),
I could feel the fire of this Irish home.
