Natasha is fascinated with nature, humanity and how the two interconnect. The animal allegories in her work represent various parts of her psyche and how she perceives reality, exploring our intrinsic connection to our natural surroundings.
Since winning first place in the City-wide Art award in Florence, Italy, Natasha’s work has been included in numerous prizes and exhibitions in Australia, Italy and the USA. Her work is featured as part of the Beautiful Bizarre website and she was recently awarded Second Prize at The Art of Imagination prize.
Natasha’s paintings bring us to a place where realism and imagination meet, blurring the lines which often define realism and inviting the viewer into a dream-like state where intuitive meaning triumphs over physical reality.

Our own inner state is intrinsically connected to our natural world, be it creature, human or plant.
I have illustrated this sentiment in this piece by exaggerating the subject's natural surroundings to reflect his own inner turmoil.
This work reflects an empathetic response to my subject, inviting the viewer to 'feel' him as much as see him. Partly realistic, partly unreal, he seems to exist in another place - somewhere between the conscious and the subconscious - like a memory held over time.
