Brisbane-based artist, Serpents Sun, creates vivid, illustrative artworks of fantasy worlds in watercolour and pens. They love to bring worlds to life filled with magic and fantasy; worlds to escape the rush of modern life; worlds to escape the mundane.

Serpents Sun uses art as a form of therapy and enjoyment. Most of their works are unplanned, with feeling guiding how an artwork comes together. Having been surrounded by mental health challenges their whole life, Serpents Sun has learnt to use art to help them maintain a healthy mind.

Deep in the forest lies a broken castle, its human inhabitants having fled long ago. Now it belongs to the bird spirits, decorated with their shiny treasures. None dare to venture too close, for the bird spiits are said to be very protective over their hideaway.
