Liam is a 46-year-old artist from Ipswich, Queensland. He has had a strong interest in art, literature and spirituality from a young age.
At age 18, an art teacher encouraged Liam to develop his own unique style of artistic expression, which incorporates elements of his dreams, life experiences and is inspired by the unconscious. Liam has composed thousands of original poems and created hundreds of detailed drawings and paintings throughout his life.
Art has been a therapeutic tool which has assisted Liam to manage his mental illness, providing an outlet for his creativity, and allowing him to feel a sense of achievement even during the dark periods of his life.
This artwork depicts the darker side of human nature, connecting with a world we cannot see. This dimension has many faces, which reminds us throughout sacrifice there can come good things.
