Extra Spin
Zoë Collins is a serious - though never solemn - creative force of energy. She believes colour can be spun like magic, that art heals the troubled soul, and that creativity brings joy and connection. Zoë’s work has been described as colourful, powerful, fresh, quirky, witty, and delightfully mad.
She writes, draws, paints, prints, collages, and teaches, guided by the belief that peace comes from within - through discovering who you are and showing gentleness toward your perceived failings. Passionate about helping others unlock their own creativity, Zoë shares her knowledge both in person and online, firmly believing that creativity is a muscle everyone can flex.

This is a metaphor of domesticity and ADHD. I love domestic life - laundry, cooking, shopping, driving. However, managing the spin, the chaos, and the fear that it can all fall apart at any moment, paired with the weight of everything resting on my shoulders, is exhausting. This artwork is dirty feet, messy kitchen, unfolded laundry, untethered piles of stuff. It is guilt, fear, joy, delight, and a deep knowledge of the constancy of this spinning machine that is our life.
