"Inspired by a recent news story, I was reminded of the ways in which human actions endanger wildlife.

It happens yearly that during the migration of the humpback whales, one or more get tangled either in shark nets along our coast or in discarded fishing nets.

It is time for us to show more awareness around how we deal with rubbish and the measures we take to protect ourselves and others."

Kerry Dodds was inspired to paint as therapy in 2019 after discovering a fascination with light and colour, and how they affect or convey mood.

Kerry is a self-taught artist, working mainly in acrylic and mixed media, taking inspiration from landscapes and the human experience. Kerry works from her home studio in Petrie, Queensland.
