Dandelion Fields

Cindy is a passionate artist from Toowoomba, specialising in oil painting and charcoal drawing. Her primary focus is portraiture, seeking to capture and reveal the true essence of the soul - the beauty, truth, and divine spark inherent in every individual.

From a young age, Cindy was enamoured with drawing and painting, often depicting her favourite birds, lions, pets, and people. These subjects continue to inspire her work. 

While Cindy's art was put to the side during a period of personal challenges, including two marriage breakups, depression, and anxiety, Cindy's faith and art played a crucial role in her recovery and renewal. Cindy is reminded that if the ending isn't good, the story isn't over. It's all good in the end.

Harkening back to my idyllic childhood in the Australian countryside, native birds - especially our vibrant parrots - have always held a special place in my heart. Among them, galahs are my all-time favourite. This cheeky little fellow knows exactly how gorgeous he is, coyly nibbling on some tasty dandelions. I painted him with lively, expressive brushstrokes and used a soft vignette to draw all the focus to his sweet face.
