Alana Art is an artist who works mainly with acrylics and mixed media. Her journey as an artist has grown since she was diagnosed with mental illness - taking painting as therapy to help in her recovery journey. Alana's artwork is indicative of the struggles and depth of her persona shown through emotional application of subject, colour, and medium of paint.
After much hard work and determination, life has improved, and the subject and forms are indicative of beauty that is present even during difficult periods. The artist hopes to share these special moments with others to give a prevailing sense of hope.

A beautiful depiction of Australian bush flowers – it’s how we determine or portray what we see (either with our eyes or heart) as to how we see our world. Beauty comes from within and shines on the outside; it's not hidden. Mental illness can make us look inside and find the beauty within.
