Jude Scott is a Brisbane-based artist who works with acrylics and textured mediums to create coastal-inspired abstracts on canvas. Jude discovered art early in life as a sanctuary; a place to retreat and find calm during moments of overwhelm. In recent years, learning more about her neurodiversity and exploring supportive strategies has brought her greater understanding and balance. Jude's art practice remains a deeply healing experience; a source of comfort, optimism and connection that continues to support her wellbeing.

Coastal environments of sand, sea, and rock formations inspire my abstract artworks. In this piece, I concentrated on aquas, turquoise, and the contrasting tones found in sandstone. I love working with these colours, and this richly textured tactile piece is layered with varied mixed media, acrylic paint, and a touch of gold leaf.
