I created this artwork to celebrate the vibrant beauty and mystery of nature, drawing inspiration from my lifelong love of mushrooms. This love was sparked in the 1970s, when my aunty introduced me to the enchanting world of fairies, and taught me to draw them. The vivid colours and intricate details reflect my fascination with these magical elements, rooted in my childhood where I was always sketching fantasy fairy homes, blending the wild and the whimsical to evoke a sense of wonder and connection to a fantastical realm.
